7th June: Supermarket branded and Genius brand GLUTEN FREE foods CONTAINING Gluten!!!

Please check if you are a coeliac/ gluten free as it has just been made known that all of the big supermarkets: Tesco, Asda, Sainburys, Morrisons, Waitrose have recalled various own brand gluten-free bread based items including pizza bases, pitta breads, pancakes, naan and crumpets. Also Genius foods have also recalled similar products.They are date specific – please see the links for more details.


22 April 2015 : NUTS

Netto Ltd is recalling packs of Aruna Sweet Paprika because it has tested positive for almond protein. This makes the product a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic or intolerant to almond.


17th April 2015 : WHEAT

MyProtein Salt & Vinegar Protein Puffs

The Hut Group Ltd is withdrawing a batch of Myprotein Salt & Vinegar Protein Puffs multipacks as certain packs contain individual packets of BBQ flavour due to a packaging error. The BBQ flavour product contains wheat, which is not mentioned on the labelling. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat.


4th April 2015 : MILK

Hotel Chocolat withdraws its Milk-Free Milk Chocolates

Hotel Chocolat is withdrawing its ‘Milk Free Milk’ chocolates as they may contain traces of milk, which is not clearly mentioned on the product label. This makes the products a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or its constituents.
